Arsenal vs Galatasaray Match Betting Tip

Premier League giants Arsenal welcome Turkish side Galatasaray to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night and it will be a clash where the Gunners will be looking to kick start their Champions League campaign by grabbing a victory.

Arsenal

Arsenal have made a decent start to their Premier League campaign but were simply shocking in their opening day Champions League defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund a fortnight ago.

Therefore, it will be of paramount importance for the Gunners to claim all three points in their upcoming group game clash against Galatasaray on Wednesday.

However, with Arsenal being plagued by numerous injuries at the moment, the clash will be anything but a straightforward stroll for Arsene Wenger’s men against a tough opposition.

Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Nacho Monreal are all out of the clash while Mathieu Debuchy, Theo Walcott, Serge Gnabry and Olivier Giroud remain sidelined with long term injuries.

Galatasaray

Galatasaray have endured a slow start under new manager Cesare Prandelli this season and were lucky to come away with a point against Anderlecht in match day one of the Champions League after a very late Burak Yilmaz strike saved the blushes for the Turkish side.

Now with a daunting prospect of Arsenal up next, Galatasaray will undoubtedly have to put in a much more improved performance if they are to stand a chance of getting anything from their visit to the Emirates Stadium.

Blerim Dzemaili and Veysel Sari are doubts for the clash while Berk Ismail Ünsal is certain to miss out due to a knee injury.

Arsenal vs Galatasaray Match Prediction

Galatasaray are currently enduring a winless run of nine games against English sides and it seems unlikely that they will be able to break the streak in midweek against Arsenal.

However, it is worth reminding that the last time these two teams met, the Turkish side emerged victorious in the famous UEFA Cup final in 2000.

While Galatasaray certainly stand a chance of causing such an upset once again – especially against an injury ravaged Arsenal side, the Gunners have enough about them to claim a victory on the day.
