It will be a battle of the Champions when Spain’s Atletico Madrid lock horns with Italian giants Juventus at the Vicente Calderon this Wednesday.

Atletico Madrid have continued where they left off last season and have enjoyed a fine start to the current campaign as well.
To the shock of many though, Diego Simeone’s men succumbed to a disappointing 3-2 defeat at the hands of Olympiakos in their opening Champions League clash and the Spanish side certainly do not find themselves in the most ideal of situations in their group.
Now, Atletico prepare to face Juventus and it goes without saying that the Italian champions will provide a very stern test to the conquerors of Spain.
Captain Gabi is a doubt for the clash due to an ankle injury but as a major boost, manager Diego Simeone will be available on the sidelines after serving the last of his touchline ban last time out.

Despite the shock managerial change over the summer, Juventus’ form on the pitch does not seem to be the least bit affected and the Old Lady have made a wonderful start under Massimiliano Allegri, winning all of their six matches so far this season without even conceding a single goal.
However, the trip to the Vicente Calderon to face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night will undoubtedly represent the toughest assignment yet for Allegri’s side this season and if they can claim victory on the day, Juventus will have to be considered strong contenders to go all the way this season.
Andrea Pirlo, Andrea Barzagli and Martin Caceres are out with injuries for the clash but Roberto Pereyra should return after serving his suspension against Malmo in the first group game.
Atletico Madrid vs Juventus Match Prediction
It will be a clash between two fine teams who are extremely good at the back and as a result, one should not expect too many goals on the day.
While it almost seems impossible to separate the two sides at the moment, the Vicente Calderon has proven to be a fortress for Atletico Madrid and the Spanish side should head into the game as slight favourites.
That being said, Juventus are currently in irresistible form and it would certainly take something special for Atletico to breach their defense, let alone claim a victory.
A low scoring draw apparently looks the obvious choice at the moment but Atletico may just about edge the game by the odd goal.
