The noveau riche Paris side have emerged as serious contenders on the European stage in recent years and they will be out to go one better than last season’s last 8 appearance. Laurent Blanc’s side are unbeaten in all competitive games so far this season. Barcelona’s only doubts ahead of the game are Rafinha (muscular injury) and third-choice goalkeeper Jordi Masip (fractured finger) although Thomas Vermaelen and Martin Montoya were both left out of the match day squad. Luis Enrique’s side moved top of La Liga at the weekend with a 6-0 win over Granada and in seven competitive games in the UCL and Spanish top flight they have yet to concede a goal with 18 scored.
PSG vs Barcelona Match Prediction
The last two meetings between these sides ended with draws. The two clubs met in the last 16 of the 2012/2013 competition with the tie finishing 2-2 at the Parc des Princes and 1-1 at the Nou Camp. The goals in Paris were enough to see Barcelona prevail despite a strong performance from the French side.
