Cosmin Contra’s side are just two points and two games above Sociedad in the table. The Madrid outfit are unbeaten in their last two games are stemming a run of three successive defeats. The club have picked up four points from games against Malaga and Cordoba. Contra could be forgiven for being distracted with reports suggesting that he is being lined up for the Romania national job, however the former international has dismissed the link.
