Liverpool play Chelsea on Wednesday night in the International Champions Cup at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Liverpool Betting News

Liverpool will kick-start their US tour on Wednesday evening taking on fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea. The Reds have already played four domestic pre season matches so far, beating Tranmere Rovers, Fleetwood Town, Wigan and Huddersfield Town. Liverpool now have a full squad to choose from, with Emre Can returning from holiday on Tuesday.

Controversy surrounds the Reds’ camp however, with Jurgen Klopp having sent the injured Mamadou Sakho back to Liverpool amidst rumours of unrest. Liverpool take on Roma and AC Milan following their clash with the Blues this Wednesday.

Chelsea Betting News

Chelsea go into Wednesday’s clash with less games under their belt this pre-season under new manager Antonio Conte, having only played two games so far. Conte’s men began pre-season with a victory over Rapid Vienna, before a disappointing loss to RZ Pellets.

Belgium internationals Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have both travelled with the rest of the Chelsea team to the US after being given extended time off following their exploits for their nation at Euro 2016. However, John Obi Mikel will not be available as he will be preparing to represent his nation Nigeria at the Rio Olympics. New Chelsea signing N’Golo Kante will also miss out as he remains on  holiday after reaching the European Championship final with France.

Liverpool vs Chelsea Match Prediction

Given it is pre-season there cannot be too much read into what the result of this match means in the overall scheme of things. However, Liverpool are far ahead in pre-season preparations, and should be expected to win this match.
