Newcastle United close in on the signing of Charlie Austin

Newcastle United have certainly made a positive impact in the transfer market so far this summer by securing the services of top quality players such as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Georginio Wijnaldum and Chancel Mbemba.

However, Newcastle are not yet done with their business in the window and the Magpies are now on the verge of completing another major swoop by securing the services of Queens Park Rangers star Charlie Austin.

Austin has been courted by a host of clubs following QPR’s relegation to the Championship and it looks like Newcastle are set to win the race for the 25-year old as they reportedly have had a bid of around £13million accepted.

Chelsea eye Alex Telles as replacement for Filipe Luis

Following an unsuccessful debut season at Stamford Bridge, Filipe Luis has made a return back to Atletico Madrid. The departure of Luis has left Chelsea a bit short on numbers in the full back positions and the Blues are surely set to bring in a new left sided defender this summer.

Abdul Rahman Baba had been mentioned as a target for Chelsea but it can now be revealed that the Blues have set their sights on signing 22-year old Brazilian star Alex Telles instead.

Telles is currently plying his trade for Turkish side Galatasaray and his services will reportedly cost Chelsea around €8million.

Tottenham could sell Lamela for just £5million

Erik Lamela has been a huge flop since his £30million arrival to Tottenham Hotspur from Roma two seasons ago and it is widely expected that the Premier League side will be looking to get rid of the Argentine international this summer.

A move back to Italy has been touted for Lamela but now in shock reports, it has been reported that Porto are considering a move for the 23-year old.

Reports emerging out of Portugal have claimed that Porto want to sign Lamela on a season long loan deal and want to put up the option of signing the winger permanently for just £5million.
