Top Three Transfer Rumors of Week 5

Robin van Persie ‘agrees’ Fenerbahce move

Robin van Persie single handedly helped Manchester United to the Premier League title back in 2012/13 but over the last two seasons, injuries and poor form have meant that the striker is no longer the player he once was.

With van Persie entering the final year of his contract at United, speculation has been rife that he will be sold by the Premier League giants this summer and now according to reports emerging out of England, it has been claimed that the 31-year old has already agreed a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Reports state that van Persie has agreed a four year deal ‘in-principle’ with Fenerbahce and the transfer will go through once the two clubs agree on a fee for the striker.

Samir Nasri back to Arsenal

Rumors during the transfer window never ceases to amaze and perhaps in one of the most outlandish reports this summer, it has been claimed that Samir Nasri wants a move back to former club Arsenal.

Nasri left Arsenal under a cloud to join Manchester City back in 2011 and in turn became public enemy number one in the eyes of the Gunners’ faithful.

After a couple of successful years at City, Nasri endured a difficult campaign last term and the midfielder has been touted to exit the Etihad Stadium this summer as a result.

A host of clubs are interested in signing Nasri but reports emerging out of England have stated that the Frenchman has his heart set on a move back to the Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham want to exchange Lamela with Shaqiri

Erik Lamela has proven to be a huge flop since his £30million move to Tottenham Hotspur two seasons ago and after losing patience with the 23-year old, Spurs are said to be looking to cut their losses.

Lamela has been widely tipped to make a return to Italy this summer and Juventus are said to be interested in the Argentine international.

It has now emerged that Tottenham are planning an interesting proposition by offering another Italian side, Inter Milan, the services of Lamela in exchange for Swiss Star Xherdan Shaqiri.
