Manchester United join the race for Pedro
It is clear that Manchester United are currently in the market to sign a new striker and the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Edinson Cavani and Robert Lewandowski have all been mentioned as potential targets for the Red Devils.
Recently, United boss Louis van Gaal revealed that he is looking to make a move for a ‘surprise’ target to strengthen his attacking lineup and it has widely been reported in the English media that the surprise player being courted by the Dutchman is Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez.
There is intense speculation surrounding Pedro’s potential exit from Barcelona after it was recently revealed that his release clause has been reduced from £107million to just £21million and it has now been claimed that Manchester United have joined the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in the race for the Spanish international.
Mario Gotze set for Juventus move
Mario Gotze has proven to be a huge success at Bayern since joining the club two seasons ago but things are not as smooth as they seem at the surface between the midfielder and the club.
It was recently revealed by Gotze’s agent that the German international was disappointed at being left out of Bayern’s high profile games against Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund last season and that he is currently considering a move away from the Allianz Arena this summer as a result.
Now according to reports emerging out of Italy, it has been claimed that Juventus have expressed their interest in signing the unsettled Gotze and are viewing the 23-year old as a replacement for Arturo Vidal, who is incidently on his way to Bayern.
Chelsea return with improved £26million offer for John Stones
With John Terry entering the twilight of his career, Chelsea are currently on the lookout to find a long term replacement for their inspirational captain and it has been revealed that manager Jose Mourinho has identified Everton star John Stones as the heir to Terry’s throne at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea had recently placed a bid of around £20million in an attempt to sign Stones but the offer was immediately rebuffed by Everton, who are desperate to keep hold of their prized asset.
Everton’s resolve looks set to be tested once again as Chelsea are now reportedly preparing to table an improved offer of around £26million in order to secure the services of the 22-year old central defender.
